The Archetypes as Medicine
Tarot has been used as a tool for understanding the human experience for centuries, long before the word “therapist” came into existence. It’s been used by royalty, mystics, change-makers, artists, visionaries and people who didn’t fit into any one “box”. At its core, Tarot is a tool of the archetypes, laid out as a story. With Tarot we are allowed for a brief moment to pull back the veil and see aspects of our humanity that shape up, inspire us and yes, sometimes scare us.
How this Modality could help you
While Tarot can be used for prediction, it is most powerful as a tool for insight, reflection, and awareness of our blind spots. Some people call this shadow work, I prefer to call it integration of self.
The journey of the Fool tells the timeless story of the human experience through the character of the Fool, who walks a path of becoming and self-actualization toward their highest potential. Many clients see themselves reflected in the Fool’s journey, and through this metaphor, we are invited to explore our own growth, choices, and moments of transformation.
